The gloves are a very handsome and manly looking pair of Bikers gear.
In an accident the handsome are certainly protected.
Plus they just look to me as BAD ASS Bikers gear.
I don't ride when it's really cold, but I know that my hands will be warm in cooler rides.

Bought as a Christmas gifts. Had one person try on and he enjoyed putting them on.
I consider my hand size to be medium but due to experience with the many gloves I’ve purchased over 49 years of riding, I ordered size XL. While the gloves fit snuggly, the gauntlet is both too short and too narrow and can not be pulled over the jacket sleeve. I did manage a short ride in 45* weather and they were reasonably warm. Can’t comment on how waterproof they are.

I haven’t really used them yet , it has actually been to cold to ride !
